Exceedingly Great Joy

25 Christmas Devotions for Children & Young People · by Sean Torrington · A FaithBuilt Christmas

“When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy.” Matthew 2:10

From 1 December to Christmas Day, Exceedingly Great Joy walks young readers through the whole Christmas story: from God’s first promises in Isaiah, through Mary, Joseph, the shepherds and the angels, to the wise men and the greatest gift of all. Written for real life at school, at home and online, it helps children and young people discover a joy that lasts long after the decorations come down.

Five parts, 25 days

• The Promise: a light in the dark, a forever King, a little town with a big plan
• The People Who Said Yes: Zechariah, Mary, Elizabeth and Joseph
• The Night Everything Changed: God with us, no room, the Light shines
• The Good News Goes Out: shepherds, angels and the sign in the manger
• Joy to the World: Simeon and Anna, the wise men and the greatest gift

Every day includes

• A Bible reading and key verse
• A warm, relatable devotion
• A “Joy Spark” fun fact
• “Think It Through” questions for personal or family discussion
• A prayer and a “Joy in Action” challenge
• “My Joy Journal” space to write

Plus five Joy Breaks with puzzles (a word search, a crossword, a secret code, a logic mystery and a Christmas quiz), a gift dedication page and full answers.
